FIVB Volleyball Empowerment supported France will be among the few countries represented by the maximum of four teams in Paris
The beach volleyball tournament at the Olympic Games Paris 2024 will be played at the Olympic beach volleyball stadium in Champ-de-Mars Park at the foot of the iconic Eiffel Tower from 27 July to 10 August.
It will involve 48 teams altogether, with 24 men’s and 24 women’s teams set to battle it out to become Olympic Champions.
Of the 48 participating teams, 16 teams from nine countries are supported by the FIVB Volleyball Empowerment and Development programme. Namely the Netherlands, Australia, France (both genders), Morocco, Chile, Canada (all men), Lithuania, Czechia and Paraguay (all women).
FIVB Volleyball Empowerment supports Team France who are among the few countries represented withthe maximum quota of ftwo teams per gender ms in Paris, along with beach volleyball powerhouses like Brazil and the USA.
France
France’s national beach volleyball programme have been guided in the current olympic cycle by a fully staffed coaching team, headed by Brazilian specialist Lissandro Carvalho. Their FIVB Volleyball Empowerment coach support funding totals CHF 795,000 so far.
In addition to automatically qualifying one team per gender as Olympic Games hosts, France managed to qualify a second women’s place through the Olympic Ranking from the top 18 teams. Meanwhile, And won the men’s CEV Beach Volley Nations Cup Finals in Jurmala, Latvia to confirm their second men’s place.
